In response to customer feedback we are currently in the process of replacing beds and carpets in the apartments.

We love Highland Blindcraft's beds after we experienced the best nights sleep we have ever had whilst staying at the Three Chimneys in Skye (http://www.highlandblindcraft.co.uk/index.php and http://www.threechimneys.co.uk/).

We will be trialling a few different carpets to find the best fit for us. The general consensus seems to be that we need something a little softer. If you stay with us and discover the new carpet in your apartment please let us know what you think!

In the meant time for all those with tender tootsies we have stocked up on slippers to protect your pedicures!

Job Title: Maintenance and Housekeeping Supervisor FT

Requirements:

Must be fluent in spoken English and spoken Polish
Must have some experience in hotel work or management
Excellent interpersonal skills
Must be well presented
Full UK Driving License

General Duties:

The supervision of 7-10 members of staff to ensure good communication between management and staff members.
Management and delegation of daily cleaning duties.
Overseeing and checking the standard of work
In charge of apartment maintenance and fault reporting
Some on call work may be required
Most of the job role will involve the successful applicant to spend a large amount of their time out of the office however there may be some office based work.
Stock control

Hours:

8am to 4pm Monday to Friday (flexible)
Some weekend work will be required (one weekend every month or as required)
Pay around £7.00 per hour depending on experience.

Job Description

We require a full time maintenance and housekeeping supervisor to start as soon as possible. This job role requires the successful applicant to speak English and Polish so that we can ensure good communication between all our members of staff.

We have between 7 and 10 members of housekeeping staff at any one time and we require a supervisor to manage these staff members. This will include the delegation of tasks and ensuring that the work has been done to a satisfactory standard.

On top of this we require someone to be in charge of our stock including linens, cleaning supplies and breakfast materials and to ensure that we do not run out of these essential items.

This position is NOT a cleaning position. The successful applicant will not be expected to clean the rooms but only to ensure that all the daily tasks are completed.

The maintenance side of the job role is equally as important as overseeing the housekeeping. The successful applicant would be in charge of fixing any minor problems and issues, reporting any serious faults to senior management and ensuring that all problems are resolved in a timely manner. Some maintenance skills would be useful here however we can provide some training for the more technical issues.

Applicants must be able to use their initiative and work on their own as well as in a team. They must be comfortable taking charge but equally comfortable reporting to senior management.

As the job will involve some interaction with customers we expect all applicants to be well presented and have excellent customer service skills.

References will be required.

We are delighted to announce that we will be extending our opening hours as of Monday 26th September!

Our new office hours will be:

Monday 08:00 to 22:00
Tuesday 08:00 to 22:00
Wednesday 08:00 to 22:00
Thursday 08:00 to 22:00
Friday 08:00 to 22.00
Saturday 10:00 to 16:00
Sunday 10:00 to 16:00

This means that we will be able to take enquiries 7 days a week and until later in the day! If you struggle to find time during the day or if work doesn't allow you to make personal calls, now you can contact us in the evenings and at weekends!

It also means that we will be able to take more last minute bookings and that there will be someone here everyday to say hello to when you arrive.

We hope that by extending our opening hours we will make the enquiring and booking process so much easier!

Don't forget that if you need to book out with these hours - our online reservations system is available 24/7!

We are delighted to announce that we will soon be opening for longer.

We have listened very hard to all of your comments, read the reviews and have taken the time to mill over all the information that you have given. One of the most common comments was that you would prefer there to be someone here to talk to when you arrive or if there is something you need to talk about.

So within the next 3 weeks we will be changing our opening hours to the following:

Monday to Friday 08:00 to 22:00
Saturday and Sunday 10:00 to 16:00

Reception will be open 7 days a week and with these newer opening hours you should always be able to catch a member of staff! We will still be operating our out of hours line should you need to chat to us after reception has closed.

We are looking for two new part time receptionists.

These positions will be on a temporary basis for 4 months with the possibility of both jobs being made permanent.

There are 32 hours which can be divided between the two roles and the rate of pay is £6.00 per hour.

The working hours will be 6pm to 10pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with the ability to use their initiative. The ideal cadidate will enjoy working with people and will have excellent customer service skills. Previous experience in customer service is preferred although some training may be provided. Applicants must be fluent in spoken and written English and must be able to use a computer (Word/ Excel/ Internet etc).

These roles will be evening and weekend based so may be ideal for a student in the hospitality trade to get some hands-on experience although this is will not be considered in the interview process.
